Shades of Green Resort at WDW
Military Families!!:
If you’ve never stayed at Shades of Green at Walt Disney World, you’ve just GOT to do it! My favorite resort ever!
It’s right behind the Polynesian right off the monorail loop, transportation to parks included. The facilities are gorgeous, like a nice mountain lodge vibe.
There are 3 restaurants, as well as a quick serve near the buses and a coffee shop right there on site and they are all excellent! I can’t even choose a favorite. The poolside restaurant is called Evergreens and I love ordering delicious food and cocktails and sitting poolside to just watch the kids swim.🌊🏊♀️
My favorite breakfast EVER is downstairs. It’s a breakfast buffet with like anything you could ever want…Mickey waffles, omelette bar, pancake bar, fruit bar, pastry bar, meats bar… ugh drooool! It’s all SO good. For our family of 6 we paid $72 per visit but you can also get the meal plan for a bit cheaper if you plan to eat there daily. Still though, we paid more than this for much smaller portions of food in the parks and other Disney restaurants. 💰🧇🥓🥞
Resort pricing is based on rank. We’ve always paid between $100-$158/night. So affordable! 🛌
There’s also a spa, TWO pools, exchange store and ticket sales office all on-site. 🎟🎡🎢
I’m sure I’m forgetting some things but just know, I highly recommend Shades of Green. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions.
This post is not a sponsored Ad, I’m just a huge fan. Haha ❤️❤️❤️

can you tell me how to purchase tickets being 100% disabled and not associated with a base?

Hello Marlina! We Purchased our tickets in person at the ticketing office at shades of green. We purchased ours in person, but you can purchase them beforehand online through the shades of green website. You’ll want to try to get this done at least 30 days before your arrival date if you plan to do it in advance. I’m not totally clear on the qualifications for active duty versus retired versus disabled, but I’m sure the very kind people at the ticketing office will be able to explain it all. ❤️
